Yes, this is the reason we are here. To create the best WorldMUN social events ever! This dream cannot be possible without unshakeable faith and tremendous dedication. Now stepping into 2010, with the coming sales of our Social Events Tickets, we've fianlly marked a new page in history. We have the faith and will to move on, to create a phenomenal WorldMUN 2010!

Over the past few months, a group of us gathered to build up this dream. We racked out brains and heart, poured in bits and pieces of thoughts for each and every night of WorldMUN 2010. But to blend traditional and modern culture into five different nights, each with a theme of its own is truly a challenge. It took time to lay down our scattered ideas, to roll them over, to repackage them into better ones. It took countless meetings and late night discussions to discover new combinations and to finally smooth out our blueprint. A huge effort, but worthwhile.After these tiring sessions, there came more challenges. We split up into groups to investigate our desired social event venues. Though most of us in the Division of SE are experienced in organizing activities, few had ever hosted a late night mega event. Few had been in dire need of the best venues that could accommodate over 2,000 people from 9 PM all the way to early 2 AM. We needed a lot more help than expected. Who would have known the regulations of late night activities then? Outdoor activites at that hour of the day in Taiwan simply isn't as popular as it is abroad. You can imagine how many calls we had made, how many websites we had visited, how many turned down requests we had swallowed, and how many venue investigations we had carried out. Frustration kept tempting us to quit, but faith took hold. At last, five beautiful spots for social events were ready.
Ready, but not fully.
Each WorldMUN 2010 Social Event night is elaborately planned. Besides carring out our complex activities, we also need to harness intricate hardware and keep up quality of designs. That was a struggling period for us. It would be a relief to outsource our social events to a specialized PR agency. But we wanted to take the challenge head on. After serious debate on the pros and cons, after rounds of negotiation, we finally reached consensus, that SE would work on this together with a great agency. We have our great blueprint, timely technical assistance from our logistic team, equipment and packaging plans, plus we have creative people from college of science, of engineering, of social science, of liberal arts, of management. With all of these, the impossibles are all made incredibly possible!
